Men's Volleyball Splits in Nashua, NH

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The men's volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match on Saturday afternoon in Nashua, NH. The Bloodhounds lost to Rivier College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-23), and then topped Eastern Nazarene, 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 27-25). John Jay is now 7-4 on the season. 

In the match against Rivier, sophomore Anthony Francois led the offense with a team-high nine kills. Junior Krystian Surdel finished with five kills. Junior Godwin Sequeira dished out a team-high 15 assists and sophomore Rintaro Kato added a team-high 10 digs. 

In the win over Eastern Nazarene, freshman Alejandro Gallardo and Surdel registered a match-high 14 and 13 kills, respectively. Kato contributed a match-high 19 digs. Sequeira recorded a game-high 27 assists, four digs, and a pair of aces. 

For the day, John Jay totaled 53 kills, 53 assists, 69 digs, 14 service aces, and nine total blocks. 

The Bloodhounds start conference play on Monday, February 18, on the campus of Lehman College. John Jay faces Baruch College at 12:00 pm and the Lightning at 2:00 pm.
