The men's volleyball team lost a tough conference match to Medgar Evers College, 3-2 (23-25, 16-25, 26-24, 25-23, 15-10), on Tuesday night at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds are now .500 on the season with an overall record of 8-8 and 1-2 in CUNYAC. The Cougars remain undefeated at 8-0 and 2-0 in the conference.
Despite the loss, two Bloodhounds finished with double digit kills. Junior
Krystian Surdel recorded a season-high and team-high 18 kills and four total blocks. Freshman
Alejandro Gallardo notched 13 kills, four digs, and a pair of service aces. Sophomore
Anthony Francois had an all-around game with nine kills, a season-high and game-high seven total blocks, five digs, and a game-high three service aces.
Junior
Godwin Sequeira fell one dig shy of a double-double with a match-high 43 assists, nine digs, and three total blocks. Sophomore
Dylan Senkiw tallied nine kills and a pair of blocks. Senior

Rintaro Kato added a season-high and team-high 12 and nine digs, respectively.
The Bloodhounds travel to Keuka Park, NY this weekend for a tri-match. John Jay will open up on Friday, March 1, with a match against Keuka College at 6:00 pm.
