Seeking revenge, the men's basketball team topped Medgar Evers, 73-57, on Tuesday night in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 14-8 overall and 8-5 in CUNYAC. The Cougars drop to 7-16 and 5-9 in the conference.

Romello Ford finished with a team-high 17 points, seven rebounds, and a game-high five assists. Senior
Essien Epps tallied his third double-double of the season with 16 points, a game-high 11 rebounds, and three assists.

Kyle LaGuardia notched his first double-double of the year with 10 points, on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Senior
Jordan Aiken came off the bench to record 10 points. Sophomore
Odis Gause III grabbed a career-high nine boards.
The first four minutes went back-and-forth as there were four lead changes. The Bloodhounds then went on a 7-0 run as Ford scored the first five points and Gause III hit a jumper with 11:46 left in the first half.
The Cougars cut the deficit to three but John Jay responded with eight straight to lead 23-12. Medgar Evers followed on a 6-0 run to trim the lead to five with 5:49 on the clock. At the half, the Bloodhounds held a 32-29 advantage.
Epps opened the second with a free-throw but the Cougars responded with seven straight to go up 36-33. The Bloodhounds broke open the game on a 19-1 run with just under 10 minutes left in the final period. Medgar Evers was able to cut the lead down to 11 with 3:54 left but the Bloodhounds held on for a 16-point victory.
John Jay went 26-for-65 (40.0%) from the field, 7-for-29 (24.1%) from behind the arc, and 14-for-20 (70.0%) from the free-throw line.
