The softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader to the College of New Rochelle, 11-2 and 11-3, on Friday night in New Rochelle, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-4 on the season. The Blue Angels improve to 9-3.
In game one, sophomore
Tommi Mandell reached base three times and finished 1-for-1 with a stolen base. Freshmen
Julianne Graepel and
Ashley Sclafani crossed home plate once each. Freshman
Nicole Lopez was 1-for-1 with an RBI and walk.
In game two, Graepel led John Jay going a perfect 2-for-2 with a run scored and stolen base. Sophomore
AnneMarie Rivera finished 1-for-1 with a pair of runs and a walk.
The Bloodhounds host New England College on Sunday, March 24, at Fordham University. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 am.
