The softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games against New England College, 8-1 & 16-10, on Sunday afternoon at Fordham University in the Bronx. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-6 on the year. The Pilgrims improve to 10-4.
In game one, senior
Inelza Salcedo went 1-for-2 with a run scored. Sophomore
AnneMarie Rivera picked up the other hit for John Jay.
In the second game, junior
Marissa Artz finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Sophomore
Jessica Barbaria and freshman
Ashley Sclafani recorded two hits and a run each. Freshman
Nicole Lopez was 2-for-4 with a team-high three RBI's and a stolen base. Rivera went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI's, and two runs scored. Freshman
Julianne Graepel added two hits and a run.
The Bloodhounds travel to New Jersey City University on Monday, March 25, for a doubleheader at 3:00 pm.
