Jurrel Diaz Homers as Baseball Loses at USMMA

The baseball team lost at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, 14-1, on Wednesday afternoon in Kings Point, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 6-14 on the year. USMMA improves to 10-7. 

Senior Jurrel Diaz blasted his first home run of the season and 11th of his career. Juniors Sean Napier and Joe Desilvio and sophomores Philip Bellomo and Angel Curbelo all recorded hits for John Jay. 

Freshman Paul Slawson got the start and threw three innings. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Centenary University (NJ) on Friday, March 29, for a doubleheader at 12:00 pm.
