The men's tennis team was defeated by the College of Staten Island, 7-2, on Tuesday afternoon in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Dolphins improve to 7-1 and 4-0 in the conference.
John Jay's two victories came during singles play. At the top spot, freshman
Ahror Muminov was victorious in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Freshman
Terry Park lost the first set at No. 3 but responded to win the second, 7-5. In the third and deciding set, Park defeated his opponent 11-9.Â
The Bloodhounds will close out the regular season with a conference match against York College. Date and time are still be finalized and will be posted in the coming days.Â
