The baseball team swept City College of New York, 11-4 and 8-3, on Friday afternoon at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 9-17 on the season and 2-0 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Beavers drop to 6-12 overall and 2-3 in the conference.

Zach Hyde carried the Bloodhounds offense in game one. The shortstop finished 4-for-5 blasting three home runs with a season-high five RBI's, a season-high four runs scored, and a stolen base. Junior
Sean Napier went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a pair of RBI's, and a run.

Steven Catuogno was 2-for-5 with two RBI's and a run scored. Sophomore
Philip Bellomo and freshman
Jake Walton each picked up two hits and a run. Walton also swiped two bases.
Junior
Danny Wynne notched the victory after firing six innings and allowing six hits while striking out a season-high six.
In game two, Catuogno led John Jay going 3-for-4 with two RBI's and a stolen base. Bellomo finished 2-or-4 with an RBI. Senior
Jurrel Diaz drew three runs and crossed home plate twice.
Napier picked up his second win after throwing four innings and allowing four hits, two runs (one earned), two walks, and struck out three. Sophomore
Nick Jack pitched the final three innings in relief.
The Bloodhounds will look for the series sweep when they face the Beavers on Saturday, April 6, at 12:00 pm at Baseball Heaven.
