The women's tennis team suffered a tough defeat, 5-4, on Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the CUNYAC. The Hawks improve to 4-0 and 2-0 in the conference.

Gabrielle Schuck took the victory after winning 7-6 (7-5). At No. 2, sophomore
Briana Schmidt and freshman
Kayla Hanky came out on top 8-6.
Rodriguez picked up her second victory of the day after winning 6-2, 6-3 at first singles. At No. 6, freshman
Nikhar Rathi defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1.
With the score knotted at four, Hunter won at fifth singles in three sets to clinch the victory for the hosts.
The Bloodhounds host Lehman College on Tuesday, September 24, at 7:00 pm at the USTA National Tennis Center.
