The men's soccer team used a strong first half to cruise to a 7-0 victory over Valley Forge on a warm Sunday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 2-4 on the season. The Patriots drop to 5-3 overall.
John Jay scored three goals in the first eight minutes. One minute into the match, freshman
Dilshod Baymatov notched his first collegiate goal. Two minutes later, junior
Nicholas Towler recorded his first goal of the season. In the seventh minute, Baymatov added his second of the game to increase the lead to 3-0.

James Haddad scored John Jay's fourth goal and junior
Mark Shnadshteyn tallied the fifth and sixth goals right before the half. Freshman
Sam Hampson got the start and made one save in the period.
In the second half, freshman
Samson Marwieh registered his first collegiate goal. Freshman
Ian Scott collected three saves in the second half.
Haddad finished with a goal and a pair of assists. Towler, Baymatov, and Marwieh recorded an assist each in the contest.
The Bloodhounds open conference play on Wednesday, September 25, when they take on Baruch College at 5:00 pm at Randall's Island Field 10.
