The men's soccer team fell to Baruch College, 4-0, in the conference opener on Wednesday evening at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-5 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Bearcats improve to 3-4-1 and 1-0 in CUNYAC.
Baruch got off to a quick start with a goal in the first four minutes. With just under six minutes remaining in the half, the hosts added two goals to lead 3-0 at the half.
Both teams finished the period with eight shots. Junior
Steven Towler made one save.
The Bearcats scored a late goal and would go on to shutout the Bloodhounds. Junior Mark Shnadshtyen and
James Haddad finished with a team-high three shots each.
The Bloodhounds host City College (CCNY) on Saturday, September 28, at 11:00 am at Randall's Island Field 83.
