The women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference match at Rutgers-Newark, 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-17), on Tuesday night in Newark, NJ. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-6 on the season. The Scarlet Raiders improve to 10-3.

Kimberly Rodriguez notched her first double-double of the year with a team-high 18 assists and 10 digs. Sophomore
Sophia Wheelan led John Jay in kills with a team-high nine to go along with five digs.

Niovis Monsanto tallied seven kills and eight digs. Freshman
Stephany Chhay finished in double digits with 10 digs. Freshman
Jamarie Silverio added seven digs.
