The women's basketball team outscored York College, 30-15, in the final quarter to propel John Jay to a 69-53 victory on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 7-8 and an impressive 4-1 in CUNYAC. The Cardinals drop to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

Katie Healy led all scorers with a game-high 22 points, seven rebounds, a game-high six steals, and three assists. Senior
Nyasha Howard finished with 14 points, six rebounds, a game-high six assists, three steals, and a team-high two blocks. Sophomore
Lily Rakitzis recorded 14 points and swiped three steals.

All'aha Albright registered 11 points and a pair of steals. Sophomore
Jada Rencher tallied five points and a game-high 13 boards.
John Jay led 13-12 after the first quarter but York followed with a 13-12 advantage in the second to even the score at 25 apiece at the half. The Bloodhounds outscored the visitors 14-13 in the third and secured the victory after recording 30 of the 45 points in the fourth.
John Jay went 23-for-66 (34.8%) from the field, 2-for-11 (18.2%) from behind the arc, and 5-for-12 (41.7%) from the free-throw line.
