Nyasha Howard's 20 Points Not Enough as Women's Basketball Losses at Brooklyn

The women's basketball team fell to Brooklyn College, 84-60, on Wednesday evening in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 8-9 overall and 5-2 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs remain at the top of the standings at 11-5 and 6-0 in the conference. 

Senior Nyasha Howard led John Jay with her sixth double-double of the year with a team-high 20 points, a game-high 13 rebounds, a team-high six assists, and a pair of steals. Sophomore Lily Rakitzis finished with 14 points and three assists. 

Sophomore Katie Healy notched 13 points, seven boards, and two steals. Senior All'aha Albright added seven points and six rebounds. Freshman Jada Rencher had six points and six boards. 

John Jay finished 16-for-63 (25.4%) from the field, 3-for-11 (27.3%) from behind the arc, and 25-for-36 (69.4%) from the free-throw line. 

The Bloodhounds travel to the College of Staten Island on Saturday, January 25, for a non-conference game at 1:00 pm.
