The women's basketball team lost to the College of Staten Island, 81-56, in their final matchup on Saturday afternoon in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 8-10 on the year. The Dolphins improve to 10-8 overall. 

Sophomore Katie Healy led all John Jay scorers with a game-high 18 points, five rebounds, and a pair of steals. Senior Nyasha Howard fell two rebounds shy of a double-double with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds. 

Sophomore Lily Rakitzis finished with 14 points, tied a season-high and game-high eight assists, and a game-high two blocks. Senior All'aha Albright added nine points and six rebounds. 

John Jay went 22-for-67 (32.8%) from the field, 4-for-22 (18.2%) from behind the arc, and 8-for-13 (61.5%) from the free-throw line. 

The Bloodhounds return to the Doghouse to host Lehman College on Tuesday, January 28, for a conference game at 6:00 pm.
