The men's volleyball team dropped four non-conference matches over the weekend in Utica, NY. The Bloodhounds fell to Wells College, 3-0, and Alvernia University, 3-0, on Friday night. John Jay then lost to SUNY Poly, 3-1, and St. John Fisher, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-6 on the season.
On Friday, senior Kyrstian Surdel led John Jay against Wells College finishing with a team-high six kills and a team-high eight digs. Sophomore
Alejandro Gallardo tallied five kills and six digs. In the second match of the evening vs. Alvernia, sophomore
Colton Kelly led the way with a team-high seven kills. Junior
Dylan Senkiw dished out a team-high 20 assists.
On Saturday, Gallardo carried the offense with a season-high and match-high 15 kills, six digs, and a pair of service aces against SUNY Poly. Freshman
Nathan Wan matched his career-high with 11 kills and three total blocks. Sophomore
Keydrick Segur added a career-high and match high five total blocks. In the second match of the afternoon against St. John Fisher, Gallardo recorded a team-high five kills and five digs.
