The No. 3 women's basketball team rolled past No. 6 CCNY, 97-46, on Saturday afternoon at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 14-12 on the season. The Beavers drop to 3-23 overall.

Nyasha Howard continued her impressive season with her fifth triple-double of the year. The guard/forward continues to lead all of NCAA DIII in triple-doubles. The New York native recorded 13 points, tied a career-high and game-high 14 assists, and 11 rebounds. Sophomore
Katie Healy notched her team-leading 14th double-double with a game-high 22 points, team-high 15 boards, six assists, a game-high six steals, and a pair of blocks.

All'aha Albright picked up her fifth double-double of the year with 19 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, and three assists. Freshman
Jada Rencher registered a double-double, her fourth, with 14 points, 11 boards, and a pair of steals. Junior
Jessica Gorman tied a career-high with 17 points, six rebounds, and a career-high and game-high three blocks. Freshman
AriAna Pechin and
Brianna Platia combined for 12 points six rebounds, and two assists.
The Bloodhounds recorded nine of the first 11 points. Leading by six, Albright sank a three to put John Jay ahead 13-4 with 4:04 left in the first quarter. Up by six, the Bloodhounds ended the period on a 10-2 run to hold a 25-11 advantage after 10 minutes.
Two minutes into the second, the visitors cut the deficit to 27-18. With the score 29-21, the Bloodhounds broke open the game on a 16-0 run to lead 52-25 at the half.
John Jay outscored the Beavers 28-11 in the third. The Bloodhounds cruised in the fourth quarter to advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2016-17.
John Jay finished 36-for-93 (38.7%) from the floor, 11-for-35 (31.4%) from behind the arc, and 14-for-17 (82.4%) from the charity stripe.
The Bloodhounds visit No. 2 Hunter College in the CUNYAC semifinals on Wednesday, February 26, at 6:00 pm in New York, NY. John Jay split the season series with the Hawks.
