Anthony Francois, a former men's volleyball student-athlete from 2018-19, was elected chair of the Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during the 2021 NCAA Convention.
"I am excited to serve Division III student-athletes as chair of the national Student-Athlete Advisory Committee this coming year," Francois said. "It is an honor to have been nominated and elected for this position. I am appreciative of the fact that my peers decided that I should be the one to serve in this capacity, and through my service, I hope to demonstrate that their faith in me has not been misplaced."
Francois joined Division III SAAC in January 2019 for a three-year term after being elected as the City University of New York Athletic Conference's representative. Since then, Francois also has served as the student-athlete representative for the Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee, for which he provided a student-athlete voice in the committee's development of the concepts related to name, image and likeness, among other items.
