NEW YORK, NY -- The women's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest to the Nazareth College Golden Flyers, 77-52, on Sunday afternoon at the Doghouse. John Jay falls to 4-4 on the season while Nazareth improves to 3-4 on the year.
Despite a fantastic fourth quarter from the Bloodhounds where they outscored the Golden Flyers, 18-6, John Jay showed a ton of resilience but was unable to overcome the hot Golden Flyer three-point shooting (14-38 in the game).
Junior
Katie Healy double-doubled for the fourth time in five games this season, collecting 13 points and 11 rebounds. Junior
Bobbi Green dropped a team-high 18 points and added five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Freshman
Ayanna Edwards had a solid game, scoring eight points, dishing out four assists, and tallying a career-high six rebounds. Freshman
Samantha Elitharp matched her career-high with six points.
John Jay's next game will be on the road against Farmingdale State College on Saturday, December 11. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. in Farmingdale, NY.
