Men's Basketball's Comeback Attempt Comes Up Just Short as St. Joseph's - Long Island Wins it With Under One Second on the Clock

PATCHOGUE, NY -- The men's basketball team overcame a 24-point deficit to tie the game with under a minute remaining in regulation, but lost in the final seconds to St. Joseph's College - Long Island, 73-71, on Wednesday night. John Jay falls to 1-7 on the season while the Golden Eagles improve to 4-5 on the year.

Sophomore Dan Kenny had a career night, pouring in a career-high 23 points and collecting 11 boards to go with three blocks in the game. Sophomore Corey Jones Jr. re-upped his career-high from the previous game with 15 points on the night (5-10 from three). Freshman Isaac Holmes reached double-figures for the first time in his career, dropping 11 points. 

John Jay returns to the court on Friday, December 10 against the College at Old Westbury at the Doghouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Stream is available via https://johnjayathletics.com/watch
