Men's Soccer Drops Match to New Jersey City University

Galloway, NJ - The men's soccer team was defeated by New Jersey City University, 5-1, on Monday night in Jersey City. With the loss, the Bloodhounds fall to 0-5 on the season, while the Gothic Knights improve to 4-4.

Sophomore Michael Fernandez scored on a 23rd minute penalty kick, which at the time cut the deficit to just one. The John Jay offense put tons of pressure on the Gothic Knights throughout the second half, with junior Juan Nieto tallying the only other Bloodhound shot on goal. Freshman Tyler Solis and sophomore Jesus Perez combined for five saves in net for John Jay.

The Bloodhounds return home for their home opener at Randall's Island against Pratt Institute on Wednesday, September 22. Game time is set for 4:45 p.m.
