John Jay's first victory of the evening came at number three doubles when the tandem of freshmen
Dakota Himaya and
Jasmin Vargas cruised to an 8-3 win. Heading into singles play, the Bloodhounds trailed 2-1.
John Jay's lone win in singles came at No. 6 when Vargas picked up her second win of the contest, 8-7.
The Bloodhounds return to the USTA National Tennis Center on Sunday, September 26, when they host Western Connecticut State. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
