NEW YORK, NY -- The John Jay women's basketball team opened up CUNYAC play on Monday evening against Brooklyn College, however the Bloodhounds were defeated, 85-49, by the Bulldogs at the Doghouse. John Jay falls to 5-6 (0-1 CUNYAC) on the season, while Brooklyn College improves to 7-2 (2-0 CUNYAC).

Katie Healy did not miss a beat in her return to the court posting her seventh double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Junior
Bobbi Green poured in a team-high 15 points and added eight rebounds and two assists. freshman
Ashley Zeolla had a solid game, totaling seven points and nine boards. Freshman
Gillian Powell chipped in four points and six rebounds.
John Jay has a quick turnaround, and will return to the Doghouse on Wednesday, January 12 to host Hunter College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be followed by the men's basketball team taking on Hunter College at 8 p.m. Both games can be streamed via
