BRONX, NY -- The John Jay women's basketball team won its second CUYNAC game in a row on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Lehman College Lighting, 59-52, in the Bronx, NY. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 7-6 (2-1 CUNYAC) on the season, while Lehman falls to 1-7 (0-2 CUNYAC) on the year.

Ashley Zeolla continued to shine for John Jay, notching her third career double-double, and second in two games, with 20 points and 12 rebounds while chipping in three steals and a block on defense. Junior
Katie Healy was the other Bloodhound in double-figures, collecting 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Freshman
Ayanna Edwards dished out a game-high six assists, while freshman
Jordyn Ruiz and junior
Bobbi Green poured in eight points each.
The Bloodhounds return to the court on Monday, January 17 when they will travel to take on CCNY in a CUNYAC matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for noon.
