NEW YORK, NY - Women's basketball suffered a 59-55 loss to Baruch College on Sunday afternoon at ARC Arena. The Bloodhounds fall to 10-7 (5-2 CUNYAC) on the year, while the Bearcats improve to 7-7 (5-2 CUNYAC) on the season.
John Jay had a one-point advantage at the end of the third quarter, but Baruch was able to limit the Bloodhounds to just 11 points in the fourth to come from behind and earn the victory.
Freshman
Ashley Zeolla had a team-high 18 points with six rebounds. Junior
Katie Healy tallied a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Junior
Bobbi Green also notched a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman
Ayanna Edwards dished out five assists and added two points.
John Jay has a quick turnaround and will be back at it on Tuesday, February 1 for a road game against Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, NY. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
