Women's Soccer Takes Down Lehman To Remain Perfect In CUNYAC Play

Queens, NY - The John Jay women's soccer remained undefeated n CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play, defeating the Lehman College Lightning, 8-0, on Wednesday evening from Queens College. 

The Bloodhounds move to 8-2-2 overall and 4-0-0 in league matches. John Jay notched their ninth shutout of the season and fourth straight clean sheet. 

John Jay erupted for five first-half shots, coming on 36 shot attempts in the opening stanza. 

Senior co-captain Katie Healy and freshman Mikalya Schoch traded goals in the opening 12 minutes of action as both players had a two-goal night. 

Lucia Giangaspero closed out the first half with a goal in the 13' that upped the John Jay advantage to five. 

In the opening minutes of the second half, freshman Daniela Vazquez rattled in her third goal of the season as did Morgan DeGlopper in the 57' while Leylah Murad closed out the scoring in the 63' with her fourth of the season. 

The Bloodhounds close out their conference season this Saturday, October 22, as they will take on the CCNY on Randall's Island at 4:00 p.m.
