Patchogue, NY - The John Jay women's tennis team was defeated by the St. Joseph's College - LI Golden Eagles, 5-1, on Thursday evening. 

With the loss, the Bloodhounds fall to 3-9 on the season while the Golden Eagles move to 7-2 for the year. 

The lone John Jay victory of the match came at No. 1 doubles, as Sarina Moi and Rafella Rybalko won by default over the pairing of Angela Martinez and Lorraine Podlesny. 

John Jay is scheduled to close out the regular season on Saturday, October 22 at 3:30 p.m. as they will take on York at the USTA National Tennis Center.
