"Tonight, was a tough one for us," commented head coach Ryan Hyland. "Give credit to Coach Bozelli and the guys (Purchase) in their locker room, that came out ready to play. I'm proud of our toughness and effort through these first two games, but, we have some work to do in order to get the outcome we are looking for. These early season games are designed to challenge us and shed light into the makeup of our locker room. We are learning a lot that will help us later in the season when CUNYAC play begins."

The Panthers (2-0) had two players in double-figures as Mark Morgan scored a game-high 19 points, 10 of which coming from the free-throw line. Isaac Johnson added 15 points off-the-bench.

Matthew Phillips was one rebound shy of a double-double, tallying nine points and grabbing 11 rebounds in 21 minutes of action. Rashid Nikiema had a game-best 13 caroms, 12 of which coming on the defensive end.
