NEW YORK, NY - The women's basketball team earned its third straight win on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse, cruising to a 76-41 victory over the Lehman College Lighting. With the win, John Jay improves to 13-8 (8-3 CUNYAC) on the year, while Lehman falls to 3-13 (2-7 CUNYAC) on the season.
The Bloodhounds exploded out of the gate, dropping 25 points in the first quarter. Then, despite being outscored in the second quarter, John Jay led by 15 at halftime. The best was yet to come, however, as the Bloodhound defense was stout in the third quarter and allowed only four Lightning points. John Jay would cruise to the 35-point victory.
