THROGGS NECK, NY -- The baseball team dropped two games to Maritime on Saturday afternoon, losing game one of the doubleheader, 4-1, and then coming up short in game two, 15-0. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-13 on the season, while Maritime improves to 6-3.
In the seventh inning of game one,
Anthony Agosta came up to the plate with the bases empty and smashed his first career homer, and the first homerun for John Jay this season. Freshman
Preston Reitz started game one and went five innings with four strikeouts.
John Jay will seek its first win of the season when they return to the field to take on Marywood University tomorrow on the road. First pitch of game one of the doubleheader is set for noon.
