NEW HAVEN, CT -- The softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Albertus Magnus on Tuesday afternoon at Shea Softball Field in New Haven. The Bloodhounds fell just short in game one, 3-0, and then went on to lose game two, 8-1. John Jay falls to 1-3 on the season while Albertus Magnus improves to 6-6 on the year.
Freshman
Rylea Sandel had three hits on the day, including two doubles. Freshman
Jordyn Prince had two hits and two stolen bases, and a walk. Sophomore
America Rivera took the mound in game one and fired 5.2 innings while allowing just one earned run.
John Jay will return to the field on Thursday, March 24 when they will travel to Morristown, NJ to tke on Saint Elizabeth. First pitch is currently scheduled for 3 p.m.
