BROOKLYN, NY -- The softball team took on St. Joseph's College - Brooklyn in a non-conference game on Thursday afternoon at LIU Softball Complex in what was supposed to be a doubleheader. The Bloodhounds lost game one, 8-0, but the second game was postponed due to weather. The Bloodhounds fall to 8-10 on the season, while SJCB improves to 12-6 on the year.
Freshman
Madison Gil started for John Jay and went three innings allowing just two earned runs. Freshman
Alisha Cherian had two hits and a stolen base for the Bloodhounds. Freshman
Angelina Schoelles also had a hit, along with sophomore
Summer Parks.
The Bloodhounds have another doubleheader tomorrow, this time a non-conference set against St. Joseph's College - Long Island. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
