STATEN ISLAND, NY -- The softball team finished off the regular season by sweeping the Lehman College Lightning on Saturday afternoon at the College of Staten Island. The Bloodhounds won game one, 10-2, in five innings, and then went on to win game two, 16-1, in five innings. John Jay improves to 15-19 (12-6 CUNYAC) on the year, while the Lightning drop to 10-14 (8-12 CUNYAC).

Rylea Sandel was the star of the show, going a combined 3-6 with nine RBIs across the two games. Freshman
Maleea Gallaspy 5-6 with five runs scored and three RBIs. Sophomore
Alisha Cherian went a combined 3-6 with four runs scored. Freshman
Mackenzie Tresch went 2-6 with four runs scored and an RBI
The Bloodhounds will enter the postseason as the #3 seed and will play next on Friday, May 6 on day one of the CUNYAC Softball Championship.
