Men's Soccer Falls On The Road At Kean On Monday Evening

Union, NJ - The John Jay men's soccer team (0-7-0) fell on the road to Kean (4-2-1) by a score of 4-0. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Tyler Solis kept the Cougars off the board early on, as Felix Pereyra nearly put the home team on the board in the 10th minute.

Pereyra sent a low-driving shot but Solis was able to turn the shot away, diving to his left. 



Kean pushed one past Solis in the 14th minute as Sekou Soumahoro put the home team ahead, 1-0, off the assist from Santi Alzate. Pereyra capitalized on a 1-v-1 that pushed the Kean lead to two, 2-0, in the 31st minute. 

A little over ten minutes into the second half, Kean's Quadri Okunola tallied the Cougars' third goal of the night. Soumahoror capped off the evening for the Cougars with his second tally of the game in the 77th minute as Kean upped the lead to four and held on by that mark. 

The Bloodhounds conclude their four-match road trip on Wednesday, September 21, as they will head to Brooklyn to take on Medgar Evers at Kingsborough Community College in a non-conference tilt. 

Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
