FLUSHING, NY -- The women's tennis team opened the 2022 conference schedule on Saturday afternoon, with a road contest against CUNYAC foe Hunter College. The Hawks came out victorious in the contest, 8-1. The Bloodhounds drop to 1-3 (0-1 CUNYAC) on the season, while Hunter improves to 5-0 (1-0 CUNYAC) on the year.
Sophomore
Sarina Moi had an intense battle in the first singles slot. After dropping the first set, Moi battled back in set two and forced a tie break which she went on to win 4-3. In the strikebreaking set, Moi came out victorious, 10-7, to give John Jay its first point of the afternoon.
The Bloodhounds continue conference play on Thursday, September 29 when they will host York at the USTA National Tennis Center The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
