Women's Tennis Falls At Ramapo On Wednesday Afternoon

Mahwah, NJ - The John Jay women's tennis team dropped their non-conference road tilt on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Ramapo College, 9-0. 
 
With the setback, the Bloodhounds fall to 5-3 overall while the Roadrunners improve to 3-0 on the year.
 
Ramapo swept through the doubles portion of the match, with the Bloodhound pairing of Sarina Moi and Gloria Glenn taking two points at No. 1 doubles before falling 8-2. 
 
At No. 1 singles, Moi was pitted against Melanie Brentnall. In a competitive first set, Moi rallied but dropped the first set, 7-5. Brentnall went on to capture the win, 6-2. 
 
At No. 3 singles, Dakota Himaya put forth a valiant effort in the second set, before dropping a 6-2; 7-6 (7-3) decision. 
 
The Bloodhounds return to the court on Saturday, October 14 as they will host Hunter at the USTA National Tennis Center. 
 
Saturday is Senior Day as the program will recognize four seniors - Dakota Himaya, Cindy Lliguicota, Gloria Glenn and Sarina Moi, in a pre-match ceremony.
