The Panthers staged a four-run bottom of the second in taking a 5-1 lead. Reyes led off the frame with a single through the left side before stealing second.

The next batter, Frank Rega, was hit by a pitch. Myles Scarry reached on a throwing error by Reitz, as Rega and Reyes each crossed the plate and Scarry joined them after a throwing error by the right fielder. Castrogiovanni tripled to center before scoring the fifth run of the frame on a wild pitch.

In the bottom of the third, Purchase added another run as Rega scored on a passed ball.

Purchase plated across two more runs in the bottom of the fourth as Tyler Della Mura tripled home Daly before crossing the plate on a sacrifice fly to left off the bat of Mason Compton.

A second walk to Michael Emanuele plated home Manzoeillo and knocked Dow out of the contest. Justin Doskoez came on and Thomas Salerno greeted him with a single to center, bringing home Manzoeillo, cutting the lead in half, 8-4.

Doskoez fired a pitch that the Purchase catcher couldn't handle as Simaan crossed the plate, making it a three-run contest, 8-5.

Ismael Tatis came in for Christian Sanacora and gave up a double to Reyes down the left field line, plating home both Compton and Daly as Purchase claimed the five-run win.
