New York, NY - Following a five-match road stint, the John Jay women's soccer team returned home on Wednesday afternoon, as the Bloodhounds defeated the visiting Medgar Evers Cougars, 10-0, from Randall's Island - Field 70.
John Jay remains undefeated in CUNYAC play as they improve to 5-5-1 overall and 2-0 in league play after securing their fourth straight win. Medgar Evers falls to 0-6 and 0-3 in league play.
John Jay had ten different players record a goal in this afternoon's contest.
Reigning CUNYAC Player of the Week Olivia Boucher netted her team-leading 13th goal of the season. Lucia Giangaspero and co-captain Ellarose Bianca each scored their second goal of the season.
Jerlynn Castillo, Surya Nero, Daniela Vazquez, co-captain Alexandria Nembhard, Sophia Arias, Zoe Specht, and Lillith Eaton each recorded their first goals of the season.
The goals from Castillo, Nero, Arias, and Eaton were the first in their Bloodhound tenure.
Bianca, Giangaspero, and Nero each posted two assists in the victory while reigning CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, Anna Wehr, along with Boucher, Emma Fisher, and Arias each added an assist.
John Jay will look for their fifth straight win on Saturday, as they will welcome the York College Cardinals.
