New York, NY - The John Jay women's soccer team posted a 9-0 home triumph over the visiting York College Cardinals on Saturday afternoon from Randall's Island - Field 74.
With the victory, the Bloodhounds move to 6-5-1 overall and remain perfect in CUNYAC play at 3-0. The Cardinals fall to 2-9-0 and 1-2-0 in league play.
Graduate forward
Olivia Boucher netted her first hat trick as a member of the Bloodhounds, scoring the first two goals of the match a minute apart before tallying a third one in the 52'. The Sayville, NY native also added an assist in the 50' to finish with a career-high seven points in the match.
With her three goals this afternoon, Boucher set a new career high for goals scored in a season with 16, surpassing her 2019 freshman total of 14 at The College of Saint Rose.
Zoe Specht and
Lillith Eaton each scored two goals on the afternoon, with Specht converting on the penalty kick in the 16th.
Lucia Giangaspero and
Sofia Astarbi scored a goal for the home eleven as well.
Surya Nero recorded two assists on the day, helping out on Boucher's first goal of the match as well as Specht's second goal.

The Bloodhounds will go for their sixth straight win on Wednesday, October 23, as they head to Brooklyn College for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
