Men's Soccer Plays To 0-0 Draw At Baruch

New York, NY - Freshman goalkeeper Davio Rossi-Levin posted a shutout with five saves, as the John Jay men's soccer team played Baruch to a 0-0 tie on Randall's Island on Saturday afternoon.

The Bloodhounds move to 2-6-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play. The Bearcats now stand at 1-5-2 and are also 1-0-1 in league play.

Baruch's Diego Sachun fired off the first shot of the game which Rossi-Levin was able to stop.

John Jay's first chance of the match came in the 7' as Alejandro De Jesus but was turned aside by the Bearcats' Jon Legasa.

In the 13', Ammar Ahmedshaker fired off a shot toward the bottom left with Rossi-Levin there for the stop.

In the second half, the Bearcats came out on the offensive, staging three shot attempts within two minutes.

In a crucial spot, in the 62', Silver Jared Bijslma missed on the penalty kick as Rossi-Levin made the diving stop. Rossi-Levin made two final stops, the last coming in the 78'.

The Bloodhounds had a pair of chances late for the game-winner. Jason Ayala's shot in the 83' was to the top of the goal as Legasa could put a finger on the stop.
