John Jay wasted little time in tying the game as Bowman clubbed his team-leading fifth home run of the year on a 2-1 pitch to even the game at 1-1.

The Panthers broke the tie in the top of the second with two runs taking a 3-1 lead. Brandon Gonzalez sent a one-out single to right before Salerno doubled him in to make it 2-1. Scarry placed a sacrifice bunt to Mauro as Salerno crossed the plate extending the lead to 3-1.

Purchase staged a seven-run third inning, increasing their lead to 10-1. Gonzalez drew a bases-loaded walk that scored Daly, who led off the frame with an infield single to short. Salerno cleared the bases on a 0-1 grand slam to left-center field, concluding Mauro's day on the mound.

Weeks came on and issued a single to Jemal Betances before walking Scarry. Della Mura singled to right to load the bases for Daly, who lofted a sacrifice fly to center, as Purchase took a 9-1 lead. Bryant Pena sent an RBI single that brought in Scarry following a throwing error from Isaac Salazar that made it 10-1.
