New York, NY - The John Jay women's soccer team went under the lights on Wednesday night at Randalls Island, continuing the non-conference schedule as part of a doubleheader with the men's soccer team.
The Bloodhounds welcomed the Cedar Crest Falcons back to New York for their final match at Randalls Island for the month of September. Despite a strong offensive presence in the second half, the Falcons headed back to Pennsylvania with a 1-0 victory.
The lone goal of the match was scored in the 23' minute, as Cedar Crest's Olivia Kelly seized on an opportunity off an attempted clearance by the John Jay defenders.
The Bloodhounds elevated their offensive pressure in the second half, settling into their attacking third of the field for most of the final frame. The hosts finished the match with 11 shots on goal, compared to just two by the Falcons.

Anna Wehr was a consistent presence in the Cedar Crest box throughout the match, accounting for a team-high three shots on target.
Sophia Arias and
Olivia Boucher each recorded a pair of shots on goal.
Gianna Duarte finished the day with two saves.
NEXT UP: The Bloodhounds head to the Garden State on Saturday, Sept. 7 to take on Rutgers-Camden. Kick-off against the Scarlet Raptors is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
