Montclair, NJ - The John Jay men's soccer team hit the road again Monday night, taking the field at a rain-soaked MSU Soccer Park to faced the nationally recognized Montclair State Red Hawks in New Jersey.
The Red Hawks started the year ranked 12th in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll and received votes in the week two poll. They hosted the Bloodhounds for the first time since 2011 to kick off the final full week of September.
The Bloodhounds faced an uphill climb in the non-conference battle and were not able to keep pace with the hosts.
MSU's Reed Karsen and Salem Ellisy were able to cement a lead for the Red Hawks in the opening minutes with a pair of goals.
