Women's Soccer Downs Soccer, 3-0, To Remain Undefeated In League Play

New York, NY - For the eighth time this season, the defending CUNYAC champions, the John Jay women's soccer team, didn't allow a goal, as the Bloodhounds posted a commanding 3-0 victory over the visiting Brooklyn College Bulldogs on Wednesday evening.

With the win, John Jay moves to 7-2-3 overall and 2-0-0 in league play while the Bulldogs fall to 3-9-0 and 1-1-0 in conference matches.

Three different Bloodhounds found the back of the net, led by Natalie Mack, who scored in the 12' and added an assist. Tri-captain Daniela Vazquez doubled the lead just six minutes off a feed from Mack, while Anna Wehr capped the scoring in the 29' on an assist from Emma Fisher.

John Jay controlled play from start to finish, outshooting Brooklyn, 38-2, and holding a 23-0 edge in shots on goal. The Bloodhounds also earned 13 corner kicks while limiting the Bulldogs to just one.

The Bulldogs' goalkeeper Sage Berstein finished with 20 saves despite heavy pressure from the Bloodhounds.

John Jay will host CCNY on Saturday, October 18, at 11:00 a.m. for Senior Day. The Bloodhounds will recognize their 2025 Senior Class with an on-field ceremony prior to the start of the match.
