NCAA BOUND: Five-Time CUNYAC Women's Soccer Champions Head To Williamstown, MA On November 15 To Face No. 10 Williams In NCAA First Round

Indianapolis, IN - The NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Committee announced today the field of 64 teams that will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship. 
 


 
The John Jay women's soccer team, fresh off capturing the program's fifth City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) title in six years, will face the No. 10 Williams College in the opening round on Saturday, November 15, at Cole Field in Williamstown, MA, on the campus of Williams College.



This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
 
The Bloodhounds, under head coach Ajani Clunie, enter the NCAA Tournament with an 11-2-3 overall record and finished the conference slate of games with a perfect 4-0-0 record.
 
The newly minted CUNYAC champions enter the tournament with a 7-0-2 record in their last nine matchups, having won seven straight fixtures.
 
John Jay, who defeated No. 3 seed CCNY in Saturday's championship match, will be making their fifth appearance in the NCAAs.
 
Williams College, ranked tenth in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches, finished 12-2-4 on the season, most recently falling in the NESCAC Tournament to No. 3 Tufts in penalty kicks, 5-3, after finishing regulation tied 1-1. The Ephs, who won NCAA Championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018, defeated four ranked opponents during the season, including No. 4 Amherst, No. 20 Wesleyan, and Middlebury twice, when they were ranked No. 10 and No. 12, respectively. Sophomore Elizabeth Stophel (6 goals, nine assists, 21 points) and Maya Lloyd (8 goals, two assists, 18 points) have led the team. Margaret Huelin has 10 individual shutouts and one combined shutout on the season.
 
In the other first-round matchup, No. 20 Vassar College, whose team earned an at-large berth out of the Liberty League after winning the conference tournament, will face Mary Washington, which is advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2019.
