The Bloodhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on the RBI grounder from Anzalone. In the top of the second, John Jay sent 12 batters to the plate. Agosta delivered an inside-the-park home run that made it 4-0. Following hits from Kappes III and Alvy Grullon, Cherichella singled the left side that plated two runs. The score remained that way until the bottom of the third when Lehman rallied for four runs, with two coming on fielding error by the John Jay shortstop. Anzalone continued to hit the ball hard, sending a double to left field that scored Cherichella, who reached on an infield single to second as John Jay led 10-4.

Lehman cut the deficit in half, 10-5, on a RBI grounder from Almonte. Kappes III answered back in the top of the fifth with an RBI double to right center. The visitors continued their torrid hitting. Sanchez doubled to center, scoring Jaxen Gangwish on the play. Agosta added another RBI on a single through the left side. Kappes III added two more runs on an RBI base knock to right center. A failed pickoff attempt allowed Agosta to come in for John Jay's 16th run of the contest and fifth of the sixth inning.

Agosta continued to be the catalyst, using a bases clearing double to push the lead to 19-5 before a sacrifice fly from Cherichella made it 20-5. In the bottom of the seventh, Agosta allowed two runs but struck out Chris Cruz to end the game.
