Union, NJ - The John Jay baseball team wrapped up the 2025 regular season on Saturday, falling to the CCNY Beavers, 5-1 and 7-3 at Jim Hynes Stadium on the campus of Kean University.
The Bloodhounds finished the year at 15-19, while the Beavers posted an 11-12 record. Both teams and Baruch finish the conference slate at 8-4.
With all three teams finishing with the same league mark, the following tiebreaker is used to decide the regular season champion:
- Won / loss conference record only
- Head-to-head results between tied teams only
- Won / loss collective record versus all teams seeded higher than tied teams. (i.e. If two teams re tied for 4th spot, use collective record vs. top three seeds)
- Record vs. conference opponents, from top to bottom.
- Record (by winning percentage) vs. common non-conference opponents.
- Record vs. currently ranked NCAA regional teams; region may vary from sport to sport.
- Overall Strength of Schedule (team with the better SOS) (5/23)
- Coin flip in every case except for the last seed, in which case a playoff game is required to be played.
- In all scenarios, including if multiple teams are tied, once one team is seeded, we put all the remaining teams in the pool and begin the procedure from the start.
Before the start of the contest, the Bloodhounds recognized their seven senior student-athletes on Senior Day.
