HIGH FIVE... John Jay Cheerleading Secures Fifth Straight First-Place Finish At 2026 impACT Cheer and Dance Challenge

Lincroft, NJ - For the fifth straight season, the John Jay cheerleading program, under the direction of head coach Sean Gomes, are champions.

The Bloodhounds took home first-place honors over fellow CUNYAC members, Brooklyn College, on Sunday, March 1, at the impACT Cheer and Dance Challenge, held at Brookdale Community College.

After weeks of intense preparation, the Bloodhounds performed an elaborate, engaging routine that showcased an increased skill level from last year's performance.

The team took first place in the Collegiate Division while performing in front of the largest crowd it faced this season, and closed the year on a high note.
