Jason Parker is in his first season as assistant coach of the men’s basketball team at John Jay College.
Parker has been affiliated with John Jay men’s basketball for a number of years. He is currently a student and is anticipating receiving his bachelor’s degree in Deviant Behavior & Social Control in June, 2009. He also lettered for the Bloodhounds during the 2005-06 season and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player after averaging 8.0 points per game and registering a team leading 128 assists.
Parker’s coaching experience includes serving as coach at the Boys & Girls Club (Flatbush Clubhouse), Anthony Mason’s Prime Time Basketball Camp and AAU Basketball.
In addition to playing at John Jay, Parker also lettered at Monroe College as well as Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) where he played under head coach Charles Jackson at both institutions.
A Brooklyn, N.Y. native, Parker attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Brooklyn, where he lettered for the boy’s basketball team for four seasons.
He currently resides in Brooklyn.
