Odis Gause enters his first year as an assistant coach. He along with fellow assistant Chris Dicintio are the first former players to coach for John Jay under head coach Ryan Hyland. 
 
Odis began playing basketball his junior year of high school at Manhattan Center. After graduation, he attended John Jay College, where he then walked on for the basketball team and became a big part of the vocal leadership of the team. He graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Fraud Examination/Financial Forensics. 
 
Outside of John Jay, Gause is a real estate agent and loves to volunteer his time to help homeless people.
